News! Evil Empire Level Updated -CaliGirl@ 6:56 pm
Level: Evil Empire: Imperial Rest Area
(47.7kb)
Type: Jedi Knight Multiplayer Level
Author: Nds-mentat (website)
Description: This is an update to the first version that I released. I added more
spawn points, and alligned textures. I got alot of complaints about not enough
weapons, and that the level is too small. The reasons for this is that I wanted to give
saberists a fighting chance, and to cut down on the lag. This level was meant for
high speed action, not for camping with a concussion rifle.

Author: Demon_Nightmare
Description: A medium sized multiplayer level for Jedi Knight designed in a rocky
atmosphere. This level provides for a high-action environment as uneven ground,
limited walking space up above the ground, and closed-in tunnels all combine for an

Francisco
Garcia has written up a Lightsaber FAQ for all
of you JediKnight fans who love that saber. Here are the details from Francisco:
Not a lot of people have made a light saber
faq to help does who seek information on light saber techniques, tactics, and strategies.
I figured making this faq can help many newbies and experts seeking more info on the light
saber in Jedi Knight.
We have added the Lightsaber FAQ to our JK section under JK Resources for future
references.

TIE Fighter Review -CaliGirl@ 5:51 pm
Computer Gaming
Review has a review that
takes a look back at TIE Fighter. Here is an excerpt:
The graphics were, at the time, simply
amazing. It's astounding to compare TIE Fighter and the latest game in the series, X-Wing
Alliance. The resolution is higher, the lighting effects are vastly superior and the
cockpits are actually believable. But the heart of it, the ships, are surprisingly
unchanged. Both games look like space combat should look. Descent: FreeSpace and the
latest in the Wing Commander series look flashier, but they don't necessarily look better.

The graphics are really impressive. The game
is loosely based on the Jedi Knight engine, though more than 80% of the code was designed
specifically for it. It will be hardware only, featuring 16-bit graphics. Each of the
environments is amazingly realistic, and the models are impressive as well.
