Ever wonder how much input George Lucas himself has into the games that LucasArts pumps out each year? Is he way out of the loop working on his scripts and movies, or does he know exactly what goes on with each gaming title? The answer may surprise you.
In fact, according to a fairly remote news site in North Carolina I stumbled into earlier today they had this tid-bit to share:
“Empire At War,” “Star Wars Galaxies: The Total Package” and “Star Wars Battlefront II” were all created with help from the creator himself, George Lucas.
“George is our boss; George sees everything,” said Peter Hirschmann of LucasArts. “We go up to Skywalker Ranch every few months to show him what we're working on, and he looks at storyboards, concept art, actual demos. He's the world's foremost expert on ‘Star Wars,’ and he's got great insight on what works and what doesn't.”
Surprising? Not really... as we all know George is a micromanager... which for the most part has always worked well for him.
